Growth has a way of exposing what isn’t working — in the marketing, the team, the client experience, the operation, or sometimes all four.
I come in from the outside, look across the business, identify what may be getting in the way, and help you determine what to fix, strengthen, or build next.
Strategy grounded in what actually happens inside the business.
Sometimes it looks like marketing. Sometimes it’s staffing, positioning, retention, execution, leadership, or the client experience. And often, one problem is creating another.
That’s where I come in.
I’ve owned the business, managed the team, bought the product, worked the floor, and operated inside luxury environments. I look across the business rather than treating every problem in isolation.
First we determine what’s actually happening. Then we decide what deserves attention first.
Tell me about your business, what’s happening now, and what prompted you to reach out.
You don’t need to diagnose the problem before contacting me. That may be part of what you’re hiring me to do.
We have a private conversation about the business — where you are, where you’re trying to go, what you’re seeing, and what may need a closer look.
I’ll ask questions, listen for what may be underneath the immediate problem, and determine whether I’m the right person to help.
If there’s a fit, I’ll recommend the appropriate engagement based on what the business actually needs.
You’ll receive a clear scope outlining the priorities, deliverables, timeline, investment, and what we are working to accomplish.
No one-size-fits-all packages. No unnecessary work.
Then we do the work.
Depending on the engagement, that may include on-site observation, leadership conversations, business and marketing analysis, strategic recommendations, implementation planning, or ongoing advisory support.
The objective is not simply to identify problems. It’s to improve the business.
A marketing problem may actually be a client-experience problem. A staffing problem may be a leadership problem. A retention problem may begin before the client ever walks through the door.
A growth problem may have very little to do with generating more attention — and everything to do with what happens after you get it.
That is why I look across the business.
My perspective comes from having worked inside it — as an owner, operator, leader, buyer, creative professional, and advisor. I’ve managed teams, built clientele, bought luxury product, worked inside major brands, operated a salon, and experienced the business from both the executive side and the client-facing floor.
I know what strategy looks like on paper. I’m interested in what happens when it meets the real business.
That distinction matters. Because the best recommendation isn’t the most impressive one.
It’s the one your business can execute — and that changes the result.
Some businesses need a focused diagnostic. Others need a complete strategy. Others need someone alongside leadership over time as decisions are made, changes are implemented, and the business grows.
Every engagement is scoped individually. Following our initial conversation, I’ll recommend the level of involvement I believe will create the most value and provide a clear proposal before work begins.
Inquire About Consulting →I work primarily with salons, beauty and haircare businesses, luxury consumer brands, and businesses where brand, client experience, operations, and growth are closely connected.
For projects outside those categories, I consider engagements where my experience and perspective are relevant to the problem being solved.
No. In fact, I would rather understand what is happening in the business before deciding what the engagement should be.
You may come to me believing you have a marketing problem and discover that the larger opportunity is somewhere else. We diagnose before we prescribe.
Every engagement is scoped individually based on the problem, complexity, level of involvement, deliverables, and time required.
You’ll receive a clear proposal and investment before any work begins.
Yes, when the engagement requires it.
Consulting may include on-site observation and meetings as well as remote strategic work. The appropriate combination is determined when the engagement is scoped.
It depends on the work. A focused diagnostic may take several weeks. A larger strategic engagement may span multiple phases. Ongoing advisory relationships may continue month to month.
The timeline is established before we begin.
Absolutely. Some clients need strategy rather than execution. Others may need recommendations, oversight, or help determining what their internal or external marketing team should be doing.
The engagement is built around the outcome the business needs.
Yes. My role is not necessarily to replace the people you already have.
Often, the greatest value comes from giving ownership and leadership an experienced outside perspective while helping the existing team execute more effectively.
Yes. Expansion is precisely when seemingly small decisions can become expensive ones.
Depending on the engagement, we can examine positioning, operations, staffing, client experience, marketing, leadership infrastructure, and readiness for growth before or during expansion.
You don’t need to have the problem perfectly defined before you reach out.
Tell me what’s happening, what you’re trying to accomplish, and what you believe isn’t working. I’ll help determine where we should look first.
The right strategy begins with the right diagnosis.
